International Traveling with Gold and Silver

Hello all!  I just caught the LAST 2 MINUTES of today's video and happened to see in live chat about this web site here.  It looks like it's a great start!  I live in India, and was wondering about what I need to watch out for if I am traveling to the US with gold and silver.  I know to declare it over $10,000 total, and to have receipts for all purchases.  I don't see myself going back to the US if I can help it at all anytime soon.

What kind of gold and silver are you brining over?  Jewelry or coins?  Give ITM Trading a call for advice on this.  questions@itmtrading.com

@adminlynettezang  It is strictly bullion because there are no coin shops here, and national gold/silver programs here are problematic because of the illiquidity of buying from banks at a premium and not being able to sell back to them.  Jewellery shops are where bullion is bought/sold.  By the way, I cannot call, as I am deaf and living in India.  Look for the subject heading, "Bringing Indian Gold to US", in the email inbox.

My wife and I are ITM customers who bought some gold & silver (including junk silver) about a year ago. We moved out of the USA and left it all in storage but not a professional outfit like Brinks. How do international customers transport gold/sliver that was purchased in the US?

Thanks in advance for any insight you might have.

Well, i am an ITM customer as well.  I was advised buy my guy to declare the value of the coin ($20.00) versus what I actually paid for the coin. Another perk of the collectibles. I am not sure in the case of bullion.
